Eversheds Sutherland boosts international tax capabilities with lateral partner hire in latest growth moveNovember 05, 2025 Eversheds Sutherland has further enhanced its commercial advisory capability with the appointment of partner Pia Dorfmueller to its Frankfurt office, strengthening the firm’s German and international tax capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in cross-border advisory services. Pia, who arrives from law firm Dentons, where she was a key member and head of the German tax group, is accompanied by a team of two Associates. Pia has spent more than 25 years advising clients on a range of complex tax-related issues including international tax law, tax structuring, transactional tax, and reorganisations. In addition to her advisory work, Pia is a notable figure in the global tax community. She serves as the Germany correspondent for Tax Notes International, sits on the advisory board of the IFA Rhine-Main-Neckar section, and is the founder of the Frankfurt International Tax Forum of the IFA Rhein-Main-Neckar Section. In 2024, Pia was appointed as a member of the Global Women of IFA Network (WIN) Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) along with 12 other female international tax professionals from around the world. Pia is consistently ranked and recognised by leading legal directories including Chambers and Partners (Chambers), JUVE, The Legal 500, Who’s Who Legal, and International Tax Review for her outstanding contributions to the field. “Pia’s appointment marks a further strategic step in Eversheds Sutherland’s continued growth in Europe.
