Sherry Zhang advises clients on international trade and energy issues for regulatory, transactional and policy matters.
She counsels US and foreign companies in the oil and gas, solar, financial, technology, industrial and other sectors on compliance and enforcement risks arising under US laws related to economic sanctions, trade remedies, export controls, and foreign investment. She also provides guidance for nuclear licensing and compliance matters relating to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Sherry was previously a member of the firm’s Insurance Transactions and Products group, in which she helped plan and negotiate significant insurance company acquisitions and complex reinsurance transactions and advised on insurance legislative and regulatory matters.
Sherry is also involved in pro bono matters, including immigration. In law school, she completed a dual JD-LLM in International and Comparative Law and participated in Duke Law’s International Human Rights Clinic, focusing on economic, social and cultural rights.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Sherry participated in its Summer Associate program.
