Jonathan is a Partner and Head of our Construction and Engineering group, based in London.
He is a Senior Construction Litigator specialising in large, high-value and technically complex construction and infrastructure disputes (court proceedings, adjudication and arbitration). His sector strengths include office, retail, logistics, renewables including CHP plants, biomass and offshore wind, with a particular specialism in complex delay claims.
Jonathan specialises in conducting (and where necessary driving) ADR in high-value, multi-party disputes. He has been instrumental in settling apparently intractable disputes by proposing innovative commercial solutions involving complex settlement structures.

Jonathan's wide ranging experience includes:
- acting for the developers in respect of a £40m dispute in the TCC between 7 parties arising out of defects in a distribution centre;
- acting for developers in a series of adjudications arising out of a high end residential development in Mayfair;
- acting for the owners and landlord in a £170 million dispute in the TCC between six parties arising out of defects in a warehouse and wine production facility
- acting for the owners and operators of what was then the largest offshore wind farm in the UK in respect of two LCIA Arbitrations (defending a £300 million claim and pursuing a £300 million counterclaim) before a well-respected arbitral tribunal
- acting for the owners/developers of a biomass plant in various disputes between it and its contractors
