Andrew is a Partner on Eversheds Sutherland’s Infrastructure Team and part of the Client Services Teams for two of Eversheds Sutherland’s key clients in the sector.
He has particular experience in complex land disposal and assembly and manages large teams that deal with a wide range of asset management and landlord and tenant workstreams.
Andrew is a Partner in the Real Estate practice group. His practice encompasses complex land disposal, asset management, Core Real Estate Occupier work, and transport, energy and infrastructure projects.
He trained with Eversheds Sutherland and is a member of the Transport and Infrastructure Teams, acting for a number of clients in this sector, including Network Rail Infrastructure Limited and HS2 Limited.
Whether you are an infrastructure company or end user, Andrew can advise you on a wide range of real estate issues in the sector. He and his team work with Eversheds Sutherland Parliamentary Team on dealing with the real estate elements of some of Europe's biggest and most complex infrastructure projects.
A large part of his role is finding solutions to issues that arise during these projects. Andrew has also helped to train and advise policymakers on the application and delivery of discretionary compensation schemes.
He also has experience in assisting clients who are entering the Electric Vehicle Charging space — both on the operator and landowner side. This expanding area of real estate is of particular interest to Andrew, and he has worked with clients to develop template-letting agreements and also provided training and knowledge-sharing sessions on issues relating to Electric Vehicle lettings in property portfolios.
Andrew also acts for clients within the Core Real Estate group, which includes a diverse mix of clients based in both the UK and internationally.
He also leads on the recruitment of trainees into the Cardiff office and is passionate about getting the best and most diverse talent into the firm.

Andrew has acted on a number of major transactions for a wide variety of clients, including:
- disposal of portfolio of properties for value of £750 million from Pub Co to a Private Equity PropCo
- large-scale corporate refinances with cumulative value of £800 million
- Crossrail — dealing with complex bespoke land acquisition transactions, and his work includes the agreement of a lease and structure to enable Crossrail to utilize existing rail networks for the transportation of soil from the central subsoil sections to a developed wildlife sanctuary in the Thames, as well as advising on the grant of leases of subsoil from both the Crown Estate, the Royal Parks and other government departments for the central section of running tunnels for Crossrail; large complex sale and leaseback structures for development sites; experience in the compilation of complex land registration applications following on from the acquisition of land by way of compulsory purchase, manages a dedicated Land Registry Service Team which liaises both with Crossrail and the dedicated Land Registry Office, setting up streamline processes for the production of Crossrail’s registered titles particularly in complex areas such as Central London
- Network Rail — led one of the teams dealing with complex title assembly and due diligence as part of the disposal of over 5,000 commercial property units that generated receipts of over £1.1bn in 2019
- HS2 Limited — particular experience in routine and complex rail-related property matters, providing a wide range of advice relating to the disposal of non-operational land, as well as advising on the property elements of land taken under compulsory purchase powers; dealign with complex utility diversions along the trace of the HS2 Railway
- Transport for London — leading on the real estate work in connection with the Electric Vehicle Charging Project
- investor client — advising on Electric Vehicle project for rollout across its investment portfolio
