Eversheds Sutherland advises STAR Capital and ABL-TECHNIC on the refinancing of ABL-TECHNIC GroupJune 10, 2024 Eversheds Sutherland has successfully advised a fund managed by STAR Capital Partnership LLP and one of its portfolio companies, ABL-TECHNIC Group, on the refinancing of the originally equity-financed acquisition. The ABL-TECHNIC Group is a global leader in de-coating services to the manufacturing sectors and operates facilities at 24 locations in 10 countries. Sustainability and the circular economy are at the heart of the company’s proposition. The business recycles parts back into production for its clients and seeks to reduce waste and energy use for its customers and in its own sites and processes. With over 40 years of experience in the market, the ABL-TECHNIC Group employs more than 500 people worldwide. The refinancing was carried out via a syndicated loan agreement with, inter alia, term loan facilities, an acquisition facility and a revolving working capital facility provided by two banks. The Eversheds Sutherland team was led by Daniel Ehret (Partner) and Dr Stephan Klein (Senior Associate, both Finance). Jens Binding (Partner) and Thomas Leiminger (Associate) advised on tax issues. Veronika Ritter (Chartered Legal Executive) supported the German team from London.
