Paul Atkins Nominated as SEC Chair

Eversheds Sutherland Partner Brian Rubin spoke to the National Law Journal about the nomination of Paul Atkins for SEC Chair.

In the article Brian stated:

“Atkins is smart, understands how the SEC operates and can effectively lead the agency.”

"He is a known entity, which the SEC staff, corporations and the markets will appreciate," he said. "As others have predicted, the SEC will treat crypto differently from the way it did under Chair Gensler, and the SEC will be more thoughtful about which enforcement cases to bring and what levels of sanctions are appropriate."
