Stacey Kern is a partner in the firm’s M&A and Private Equity practice and serves as a member of the Eversheds Sutherland Global Board of Directors and the firm’s US Executive Committee.
Stacey has more than 25 years of experience counseling private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and public and private companies in a variety of complex domestic and cross-border business transactions.
In particular, Stacey has extensive experience representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, complex restructurings, private equity transactions, joint ventures, divestitures and leveraged buyouts.

Represented Deutsche Boerse Group in its acquisition of a majority stake in Quantitative Brokers LLC, a fintech provider of algorithms and data analytics for global futures and options markets.
Represented PowerTeam Services (a portfolio company of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice) in its acquisition of RJ Directional Boring.
Advised Oaktree Capital in its majority equity investment in Spirit Airlines.
Represented TWA in connection with its Chapter 11 filing and Section 363 sale to American Airlines.
Represented public insurance company Conseco (now CNO Financial Group) in the corporate aspects of its Chapter 11 restructuring.

Represented PKN Orlen, a Polish oil refiner and petrol retailer, in its acquisition via tender offer of all of the equity of Nasdaq-listed FX Energy for $125M.
