Jubilee is a partner in the Corporate practice in our London office and is the co-head of our Global Energy Group. She also heads our international oil and gas practice and our hydrogen practice.
For over 20 years, Jubilee has advised clients on a wide range of complex international acquisitions and divestments and project developments in the upstream, midstream and downstream natural gas and renewable gas sectors. Jubilee also has substantial experience advising energy clients on hydrogen, ammonia, and bio-fuels projects.
Jubilee’s industry experience (gained in-house and in private practice) and ability to move between different technologies and sectors has been particularly valuable in helping clients unlock new strategic opportunities across the energy transition. As co-head of our Global Energy Group, Jubilee leads a team of over 400 lawyers who are committed to assisting our clients navigate the energy transition and achieve their net zero goals. The team have advised on 100GW of renewable and alternative energy projects across Europe, US and the UK, 50% of the largest solar farms in the UK and 12 of the 17 UK and European interconnector projects.
Recent highlights include acting for:
- Norwegian chemicals company on its upstream and downstream green ammonia projects and offtake agreements across multiple jurisdictions
- ERM on its onshore wind to hydrogen project including advising on investment documentation, government funding and hydrogen offtake documentation
- Shell on the divestment of its energy retail business across multiple jurisdictions to Octopus
- A waste-to-fuels project in the UK on all aspects of feedstock and offtake contracts, including contracts to supply output renewable fuel for heating and transportation markets in the UK and EU
- A novel biofuel facility in the Netherlands, negotiating biofuel offtake contracts including a review of REDII compliance and the local renewable transport fuel regime (HBEs)
- EPH Group on the acquisition and commercial and operational arrangements relating to its Humbly Grove gas storage facility and crude production operations
- Technip FMC PLC on its significant strategic, cross-border acquisition of the outstanding shares of Magma Global
- China National Petroleum Corporation on its investment in a major multi-billion barrel concession project in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This new 40-year onshore concession covers 15 oilfields (including the Bab, Asab and Bu Hasa) which are collectively estimated to hold resources of between 20 to 30 billion barrels of oil equivalent
- Shell on various aspects of the Mukhaizna oil field in Oman, including its subsequent divestment
- CRH, a Hong Kong listed multi-national company in the natural resources and commodities sector, on a complex transaction to implement a package of acquisitions and restructurings of multiple oil & gas subsidiaries between CRH and JSC National Company “KazMunayGas”, the national oil and gas company of Kazakhstan
