Anete is leading Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns Tax practice group.
Her specialization covers a wide range of matters, as Anete works closely with almost all practice groups of the office, providing tax advice tailored to the needs of clients.
One of her main competences is providing tax advice to our clients in relation to the transactions with capital assets and real estate, during reorganization and upon investment attraction. Anete provides a full range of tax and legal support during the preparation stage for the transactions, i.e., starting with conducting tax due diligence, tax planning and developing the structure of the transaction, as well as during the transaction, by participating in the development of transaction documentation and conducting negotiations.
Anete also cooperates closely with the banking and finance, as well as the capital market team of the office, providing legal and tax support in the investment and capital attraction projects. She has in-depth specialization in tax application matters related to investments of private individuals and Anete has led a series of seminars and public presentations on this topics.
Anete's professional experience also includes representation of clients in administrative proceedings in state and local government institutions, as well as in administrative courts, mainly in resolving disputes with the State Revenue Service.
Anete also provides tax advice in connection with cross-border employment and her competence also includes tax and regulatory aspects in import and export transactions of goods in accordance with the requirements of regulatory enactments in matters related to customs, as well as in transactions with excisable goods.
