Cedric is a Partner and has more than two decades of experience counseling cross-border, complex, high-stakes intellectual property-related transactions and disputes.
Cedric also heads Eversheds Sutherland’s IP practice in Greater China, where he resides and primarily practices.
He has exceptional experience helping multinational corporations acquire, exploit and enforce their IP rights and trade secrets, as well as implement technology transfer, IP protection, licensing, litigation and anti-counterfeiting strategies. He also counsels private equity and venture capital firms on IP investments in Greater China and other neighboring jurisdictions.
The author of more than four dozen articles and book chapters on IP and franchise matters, Cedric is a regular commentator in the media and speaker at industry conferences in Asia and around the world.
Cedric has served as Asia-Pacific regional legal counsel of a major US-based global IP collective. Prior to his legal career, Cedric was a licensed pharmacist in Canada, where he gained valuable big pharma, government regulatory, and research and development (R&D) experience.

Cedric earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto and his J.D. degree at Osgoode Hall Law School. In addition, he holds diplomas in advanced practical intellectual property laws from McGill University in licensing IP, patent law, and trademark law.
