Will is an Associate in our Litigation & Arbitration team with a focus on commercial disputes including for financial institutions.
Will's recent experience includes advising a lender on group actions relating to unfair relationship claims pursuant to s.140A Consumer Credit Act 1974, pursuing professional negligence claims, defeating an appeal at the Court of Appeal during December 2025 and advising a Bank on defending a multi-million claim in relation to the Quincecare duty.
He has acted for a number of major financial institutions in relation to retail litigation including disputes relating to secured lending, consumer credit claims, data breach claims, litigation relating to the Equality Act 2010 and responding to urgent applications for injunctive relief.
Will deals with complex litigation across a broad range of disputes and advises on reputationally sensitive claims.
- advising a high street lender on a number of linked group actions relating to unfair relationship claims pursuant to s.140A Consumer Credit Act 1974;
- obtaining strike out of a claim against a Bank and successfully defeating the Claimants’ appeal at the Court of Appeal during December 2025;
- pursuing a ÂŁ2m professional negligence claim against a valuer;
- securing strike out of a ÂŁ1m claim against a high street Bank relating to historic mortgages;
- advising a lender on defending a multi-million claim in relation to the Quincecare duty and a dishonest assistance claim;
- advising financial institutions on litigation relating to the operation of mortgage, bank and credit card accounts, s.75 Consumer Credit Act 1974 claims and an Equality Act 2010 claim;
- conducting a risk assessment for a corporate client in relation to the Failure to Prevent Fraud corporate criminal offence, anti-bribery training and financial crime advisory work.
