Umberto is a Partner in the Banking and Finance department in our Milan office.
He specialises in debt capital markets, securitisation and aviation finance. Umberto worked for main domestic and international law firms.
Umberto is author of different articles on finance matters, and he contributed with a specific section on administrative sanctions to banks and financial institutions in the “Banche, Assicurazioni e Gestori di Risparmio” book published by IPSOA. He is a regular speaker at structured finance conferences on legal and regulatory issues (recently with particular focus on NPLs and receivables owed by public entities).

- advising Italia Trasporto Aereo S.p.A. in connection with the financing of two Airbus A330-900 Neo aircraft
- advising Socrate SPV S.r.l. in connection with a restructuring of its non-performing loan securitisation platform. One of the most innovative aspects of the restructuring was the issuance of a super-senior class of notes, subscribed by an Italian AIF (alternative investment fund) and listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange’s multilateral trading facility (MTF)
- advising Adalis SPV S.r.l. in connection with a securitisation transaction involving receivables owed by certain Italian public administrations. The receivables derive, among other things, from “depositary” services provided on behalf of Prefectures and the Italian State Property Agency (Agenzia del Demanio)
- advising doNext S.p.A. in connection with a real estate securitisation transaction pursuant to Article 7.2 of Law No. 130/1999
- advising arrangers and investors in connection with securitisations of NPLs and receivables owed by public entities
- advising several Italian corporates in connection with the issue of bonds and convertible bonds.
