Eversheds Sutherland Announces Election of Eight US Attorneys to Partner

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce the election of eight new partners, effective January 1, 2024.

The following attorneys have been elected partner:

Erin Broderick (Restructuring and Insolvency), resident in the Chicago office, advises clients on restructuring, financial litigation and distressed transactions, representing diverse stakeholders across the dispute and transactional spectrum. 

Sara Sabour Nasseri (Capital Markets), resident in the Washington, DC office, counsels public and private closed-end funds and business development companies on their efforts to raise capital and launch market operations. She also counsels clients on a variety of financial and corporate governance matters relating to the establishment, operation and regulation of public and private entities.

Will Pickens (Finance and Energy), resident in the Atlanta office, helps businesses raise debt capital to fund their operations, growth and capital projects. He advises clients on a variety of lending, capital markets and other financing transactions, with experience in industries ranging from automotive to staffing and technology to commodities, and a particular focus on electric utilities and the broader energy and infrastructure sectors.

Hunter D. Raines (Corporate and M&A), resident in the Atlanta office, advises clients in the US and abroad on complex and transformative business transactions and novel commercial matters. These include mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, tender offers, equity buy-backs, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, private placements and venture capital investments.  

Christopher M. Rosselli (Corporate and M&A), resident in the Atlanta office, advises clients on a variety of corporate matters, including strategic transactions, mergers, acquisitions, capital raises, joint ventures and complex commercial contracts.

Jim L. Silliman (Litigation and Dispute Management), resident in the Houston office, represents clients in the energy, construction and offshore services industries in complex commercial, maritime and bankruptcy litigation, as well as in emergency and crisis response efforts, internal investigations and regulatory compliance matters.

Patrick W. Spook (Real Estate), resident in the Atlanta office, advises institutional investors and developers in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, financing and development of office, multifamily, retail and industrial assets. Patrick advises investors on all facets of timberland projects, including acquisitions, dispositions, timber deeds and leases, long-term supply agreements, conservation easements and management agreements.

Laura Taylor (Tax), resident in the Washington, DC office, focuses her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, regularly counseling clients on compliance with the Internal Revenue Code and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). She also advises clients regarding the Affordable Care Act (ACA), HIPAA and various other federal and state laws relevant to employee benefit plans.
