Hunter focuses his practice on advising clients on significant, high value business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic investments.

He regularly acts as lead transaction counsel on complex matters spanning multiple jurisdictions, where transaction structure, process discipline and risk allocation are critical to achieving client objectives.

Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Hunter practiced at a global law firm in New York, where he represented public companies, sponsors and closely held businesses in large and complex domestic and cross border transactions. That experience informs his practical, commercial approach to advising clients today.

Hunter’s transaction experience includes particular cross border depth, as well as advising on innovative and first of their kind transactions, leading to his work having been recognized by leading industry publications. Beyond transactions, Hunter serves as a strategic corporate advisor to companies and individual owners, providing guidance on governance, ownership issues and long term planning. Hunter has notable experience in the fintech, oil and gas, beverage alcohol, industrial and logistics sectors.
