Gerhard is a Partner in our Munich office and Head of the Real Estate practice group in Germany.

He advises on complex real estate disputes and project developments in particular in a distressed, international and/or multi-disciplinary environment. His most recent projects include some of the most innovative real estate projects such as energy storage, a robotic campus, KI- and proptec solutions as well as large scale disputes on failed share, asset and forward funding deals.

His clients include leading global investors, asset managers, international technology and industrial companies, as well as major family offices. They rely on his advice and expertise, particularly when placing investments in a challenging environment or in resolving distressed real assets.

Coronavirus – relieving cashflow through rent deferrals – Germany

Gerhard's recent experience includes:

  • advising a leading global provider of convenience and mobility solutions on the lease of approximately 2,900 m² of office space in the M40 building in the “Die Macherei” district of Berlin-Kreuzberg
  • logistics company with respect to the customized project development of numerous logistics and office properties in various settings: constructing new buildings, altering existing buildings, leasing customized facilities or acquiring and developing of projects
  • sale of several fast food restaurants as a share deal
  • portfolio leasing and modernization of eight nursing homes
  • advice with respect to the tailor-made erection and leasing of a high-rise building, including advice regarding the electric infrastructure and smart building solutions (deal volume: €500 million)
